Rudolf Andreyevich Zhelyazevich (1811- 187?), an architect, building expert. He learned abroad. Rudolf Andreyevich Zhelyazevich was an academician of architeture (1842) and a professor of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts (1845). He worked at the Central Administrative Board of Railways and Public Buildings (1832-1854) as the senior architect of the Railway Department. He was a member of building the Nikolayevsky (now Moskovsky) Railway Station in St. Petersburg (1845-1851), the author of railway stations projects and the inspector of building the Nikolayevskaya Railway (see the articles: Railway Stations, the October Railway). In St. Petersburg Zhelyazevich built the building of N.M. Stenbok-Fermor' Passazh (1846-1848; it was rebuilt in 1900-1912), an office of the 4th Admiralty (Kolomensky) Police-Station (1849-1851) and others. He designed the building of the Railway Station in Lyuban.
