Kokorev, Adrian Vasilyevich (1810 - 1877), an architect

Adrian Vasilyevich Kokorev (1810 - 1877), an architect. Kokorev frduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1833. In 1849 he became an academician of architecture. From 1838 Kokorev worked as architect if the First High School in St. Petersburg. During 1855-1877 Kokorev was the chief architect of Gatchina Town where he built an office building (1852-1855; now it is house No,1, Krasnaya Street), the house of the Gatchina Lutheran parsonage (1855; Now it is house No. 59, Karl Marx Street). He rebuilt the building of the Cloth Factory of the 18th century (1857-1858; now it house No. 2, Dostoyevsky Street). A.V. Kokorev was buried in the Kuzminskoye cemetery in Tsarskoye Selo (now it is the town of Pushkin).
