The Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (Ilyeshi Village, the Volosovo District). The wooden church of St.George the Victorious in Grigoryevsky L'yeshsky Pogost was firstly mentioned in 1500. The stone church was built during 1792-1798; after the fire (1824) the church was restored in 1832, the side-chapel of St. Parasceva, Great Martyr was build up where the appearing miraculously icon of St. Parasceva was kept (see the article: Revered and Miracle-working Icons). The church was rebuilt during 1855-1864 in the Russian style (architects K.I. Brandt and E.K. Yegorov), the side-chapel of the Prophet Elijah was built up. The church had not worked from 1937, it was closed according to the resolution of the Leningrad Oblast Executive Committee of 16 May 1941 and transferred for a community centre. From 1943 the church has worked. Archpriest Valerian Dyrgint was the church dean during 1945-1954. Every year on Elijah Friday the icon of St. Parasceva is brought from Saint Petersburg to the village of Ilyeshi where a religious procession takes place.
