The Church of Apostle Peter and Apostle Paul (Krenitsy Village, Volkhov District). The original wooden church was built on the left bank of the Vokhov River in the 16th c, the first mention about it was in 1568, later it was dismantled. The five domes stone church was built in the Province Elizabeth Baroque style , it was built in a cemetery, and it was consecrated in 1756. In 1803-1804 the bell tower with the high spire, in the Classicism style, was added , in 1804 the Voznesensky side chapel was added and the gilt carved iconostasis was made. The church was surrounded by the blank brick wall from three sides and the front garden with a brick columns, it is partly survived, was placed at the facial side of the church. The village of Krenitsy, the village of Glyadkovo and the village of Nemyatovo were firstly included in the church parish. In 1872 the guardian service was organized at the church and the church school worked. Annually on 29 June the religious procession went from the St Nicholas Cathedral in Novaya Ladoga to the church. Priest Sergey Vorobyev (dean of the church in 1928-1937) was arrested and shot in 1937. The church did not worked from 1937, it was closed in 1938-1939. All four chapels which were attached to the church, including the Ilyinskaya Chapel and the Vozdvizhenskaya Chapel, were destroyed. Now the church building is empty and it is in the unsafe condition without the roof and decoration.
