The Church of the Intercession of the Mother of God (Yugostitsy Village, Luga District). The original wooden church with the side chapel of the St Nicholas the Wonderworker was built before 1580, it was rebuilt in 1694 when the side chapel of the Archangel Michael and the side chapel of St Nicholas the Wonderworker were constructed. In 1755 it was rebuilt again, in 1874 the church was dismantled and the stone chapel was built on the place of the church. The new stone church with the bell tower was constructed to the design of the architect A.N. Romanov in 1847-1853 in the Russian-Byzantine style. On 20 April 1929 the clergy house was conficsated and adapted for a school. The church was closed in the end of the 1930s. It was re-opened during the Nazi occupation in 1942. Priest Nikolay Vorobyov, the dean of the church, was shot by Nazi in January 1944. The church did not work from 1944, it was re-closed in 1945. The church building is in the semi-ruined condition now.
