The Kirishi Museum of the Local History (Kirishi Town, 42 Lenina Prospekt). It was founded on January 29, 1972. The museum collection base (more then 15 thousand exhibits) is ethnographic materials (everyday life items, tools, traditional and national clothes, footwear, arts and crafts). The collection of the lace items made with bobbins (see the article: Zakhozhskoye Lace) is the most valuable part of the exhibition. All periods of the history of Kirishi Town are presented in the exhibition. In the museum there is an exhibition hall where every month new exhibitions and literary and music events are held . About 8 thousand people visit the museum every year.
