VOSKRESENSKOYE, a village in Gatchina District. Population: 170. It is located east of Suyda railway station of the St. Petersburg-Gatchina-Luga branch. Historically, the village was also called Suyda, while the toponym Voskresenskoye appeared in the 18th century after the erection of the church of Resurrection of Christ. In accordance with today’s administrative division, V. and Suyda settlement (population: 1073) are separate localities adjacent to each other. In the 18th c. V. was owned by A. P. Gannibal (see Suyda, estate museum. ). Arina Rodionovna Yakovleva, nurse of A. S. Pushkin, was born in Suyda/Voskresenskoye.
