The Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God (Bolshaya Vruda Village, Volosovo District). The original wooden church was built on the territory of the Vrudsky Bogoroditsky Pogost before 1500. In the early 17th с. The church was ruined during the Sweden war, it was resumed in 1726-1729, in 1810 it was burned. The church work temporary as the domestic church in the stone building in 1810-40. In 1823-1840 the new one dome church was constructed to the design of the architect О.V. Bremer and the architect К.I. Brandt in the classicism style, it was consecrated in 1840. In 1892 the two tier bell tower was built. The church did not work from 1938. The church was returned to believers and was consecrated in 1942 during the Nazi occupation . From 1960 the church did not work from the lack of a priest. It was closed on 10 November 1961, the church building was adapted for the school workshops. The church was returned to believers in the 1990s, the religious services were resumed. The restoration work is done.
