Subject / Heraldry

The Otradnoye Town's coat of arms and flag are the official approved symbols of the Municipal Union “Otradnoye gorodskoe poselenie” (the urban-type settlement of Otradnoye) (they were approved with the decision of the Soviet of Deputies of the Municipal Union of 25 October 2006, No.121). The heraldic description of the coat of arms: “Within the shield that is devided wavy into dark red and azure fields there are two river anchors (the anchor flukes turn to down) located below the middle of the field. The anchors that have four tooth each are crossed. Above the middle of the field there is the gold bezant. Sixteen separate gold figures diverge from the bezant. The figures are similar to spikes with arched curved tops. The spikes of figures are located to the different sides. They are located alternately in two connivent rows.” The gold bezant is the symbol of Pella (the palace ensemble of Catherine II that was located in the town). Anchors symbolize the river port and the shipbuilding plant. The flag is a rectangle sheet in the ratio of width to length 2:3. On the flag there are two vertical stripes of red and dark blue colours and at the centre of the flag there are two anchors and bezant (the figures from the coat of arms). The coat of arms was registered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under No.2700, and the flag was registered under No.2701.
