The Boksitogorsk District's coat of arms is the official approved heraldic emblem of the Municipal Union “Boksitogorskiy rayon” (The Boksitigorsk District) (the decision of the Representative Assembly of the Municipal Union of 17 February 1999, No. 137). Heraldic description of the coat of arms: “Within the silver field on the green hill, which is surrounded with three dark red rhombuses that are framed with thin silver line there is a black standing bear and five green spruces (two spruces, one spruce and two ones)”. The green hill symbolizes the foot of the Valdai Hills, the bear and spruces symbolize the timber resources of the district and the dark red rhombuses are the reference designation of bauxite fields which are the basis of the district's industry. The coat of arms was registered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under the No.515.
