Gatchina District coat of arms and flag, theThe golden hunting horns remember about emperor hunting grounds. The spruce branch is the symbol of the timber resources of the district and the ear is the symbol of the advanced farming. The flag is a rectangle sheet in the ratio of height to length 2:3. The flag reproduces the coat of arms drawing. The sheet consists of the dark blue (top) and red (bottom) horizontal stripes which are divided with the scaly wavy white stripe with three waves. In the centre of the dark blue stripe there are figures from the coat of arms: the white building with weathercock as the bird of paradise on the spire. Below the building there are two divergent golden hunting horns. On the each side of the building there is the spruce branch (to the flagstaff) and the ear, which are appears from the horns. The coat of arms was registered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under No.1352, and the flag was registered under the No.1353. Authors
