Novaya Ladoga Town coat of arms, the

The Novaya Ladoga Town's coat of arms is the historical symbol of the town of Novaya Ladoga. It was approved by Emperor on 16 August 1781. The heraldic description of the coat of arms: “Within the dark red shield there is an azure pole with golden stitch bordering . There are two golden cornucopias on the both sides of the pole.” The azure pole is the symbol of the Ladozhskiy kanal (The Ladoga Canal), the cornucopias are symbol of the town’s prosperity which is related to shipping on the canal.
