Schulman, Allan Karl Voldemar (1863 -1937, Vyborg Town), an architect. He graduated the Polytechnic Institute in Helsingfors (now it is the Technological University in Helsinki) in 1889. During 1889-1891 he was a draughtsman at the architect's bureau Kihlberg & Christopherson in Buenos Aires. During 1891-1894 he was a draughtsman at the Public Building Board in Helsinki (from 1889 he was a freelance architect). Subsequently Schulman worked in different parts of the East Finland. In St. Petersburg Allan Karl Voldemar Schulman built the house for I.V. Von Besser in Vladimirskaya Square in 1904. He built in terioki (Zelenogorsk Town) and Kuokkala (Repino Settlement). From 1906 to 1932 Schulman was the architect of the Vyborg Gubernia. More then 10 different building including: a school of the Finnish-speaking children co-education (1912, together with G. Frazer; the present-day address: 5, Shkolnaya Street; now it is the Secondary School No. 11), tenement blocks to the addresses: 12, Severnaya Street (1902); 6, Linin Prospect and 24, Marine Embankment (both buildings were built in 1904); 1, Leningrad Road (1905); 7, Vokzalnaya Street (1906); 9, Leningrad Prospekt (1907) were built according to Schulman's projects in Vyborg Town. In 1907 Schulman jointly with the architect Yu.F. Bruni built the Church of St. Alexander Nevski in the emperor sanatorium "Khalila" (Sosnovy Bor Settlement, the Vyborg District). In 1907 Schulman built a hospital block of the New Aleksandr ward of the sanatorium. Chistyakov, Anton Yuryevich
