The Church of Apostle Peter and Apostle Paul (Kartashevskaya Village, Gatchina District). The wooden church with the bell tower with the high pyramid roof in the Russian style was built in 1910-1913 (architect N.I. Kotovich) in honour of the Tercentenary of the House of the Romanovs. The architecture of the church resembled the Church of Apostle Peter and Apostle Paul in Vyritsa. It did not work from 1939. It was officially closed on 28 April according to the order of the Leningrad Oblast Executive Committe. The village club was opened in the church building on March 1941. The church was damaged in summer of 1941 during WWII, it was opened in autumn of 1941 after the repair work made by local dwellers. Archpriest Nikolay Bystryakov, the dean of the church, was arrested in 1944 , he died in a prison. The church was closed according to the decision of the Council for Affairs of the Russian Orthodox Church of 8 May 1945. The nine petitions of believers were rejected by authority. It was opened only in 1995. The church was burned in February 2006. The religious services are performed in the new refectory. There is a plan for constructing the new stone church.
