Kislovsky (Kislovskoy), Sergey Vladimirovich (1897-1976), a scientist-geographer, an expert in toponymy, local historian. During the 1920s Kislovsky took an active part in the local history study movement in the Kashin uyezd of the Tver Gubernia and was the Chairman of the Kashin Society of the Local History Study. From 1930 Kislovsky was a full member of the Russian Geographic Society (RGO), a member of the Leningrad Pedagogic Society. From 1935 he finished the post-graduate course of the geography faculty of the Leningrad State University. From the 1950s till the early 1970s Kislovsky lived in Boksitogorsk Town, then in Leningrad. From 1950s he studied the geography, toponymy and history of the Leningrad Oblast. Kislovsky published his artickles in the newspaper "The New Way", in the children's geographic anthology "The Globe". Kislovsky is the author of the book about Boksitogorsk as well as the dictionary of giographic names of the Leningrad Oblast.
