Sologub (the real surname Teternikov), Fyodor Kuzmich (1863-1927), a writer. He graduated from the St. Petersburg Teacher's Institute in 1882. Sologub worked as a mathematics teacher. At first he worked in province, from 1893 he worked in St. Petersburg. In 1907 Sologub retired and became a writer. Sologub is the author of poems (the poem collection "Plamenny krug" ("The Burning Circle", 1908) and prose works ("the collection of stories "Zhalo smerti" ("The Sting of Death", 1904), "Istlevayushchiye lichini" ("Decomposing Guises", 1907)); novels "Melkiy bes" ("The Small Devil", 1092_, "Tvorimaya legenda" ("Creating Legend", 1907-1913) and others. Sologub's collected works in 20 volumes were published by the publishing house "Sirin" in 1913-1914. Every week Sologub held literary events at his flats. Many writers, artists, directors, actors and musicians visited Sologub's events. He died in Leningrad and was buried at the Smolensk Cemetery. During his childhoods Sologub often stayed at the Vitbergs' house in Gatchina town. In the early 1900s Sologub lived in summer seasons at the country house in Siverskaya. Here he wrote poems "Na garmonike ryev trepaka…" ("Trepak's Roar on Accordion...", 1903), "Malenkiye kusochki schastya" ("Small Pieces of Happiness", 1904), "Lyubi menya yasno, kak lyubit zarya…" ("Love Me Clear, as the Dawn Loves…", 1904) and others. In summer 1908 Sologub rented a summer cottage in the estate of Yelitsi (it was not survived) . It is 3 km from Suida Railway Station. Margolis, Aleksandr Davidovich
