"The province meetings of art masters of Russia", a musical festival

“PROVINTSIALNYE VSTRECHY MASTEROV ISKUSSTV ROSSII” (“MEETINGS OF RUSSIAN MASTERS OF ARTS IN THE COUNTRY”), oblast festival of classical music. It has been held since 1993 in Boksitogorsk Town. Initiators of the festival – director of Boksitigorsk Centre of Culture A.D. Zhabarov and a native of Boksitigorsk Town, Bolshoi Theatre soloist, Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolay Vasilyev. Among the festival participants one can find famous masters of art, soloists of Bolshoi and Mariinsky Theatres, the St.Petersburg Philharmonic Society and Conservatory. Professional musicians perform together with amateur musicians. At the same time festival concerts are held in Pushkin Town, Tikhvin Town and Pikalevo Railway Station. Zhabarov, Aleksandr Donatovich
