"Vremya" ("The Time") (Kingisepp Town, 5 Teatralnaya Street), social, political newspaper. It was founded on 19 October 1920 as organ of Yamburg's Uyezd executive committee, it was called «Plough and Hammer», later on – as organ of district committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and district executive committee. In 1930-40 it was called «Collective Farmer», then «Collective Farmer of Kingisepp», since 1960 – «For Communism». During occupation 1941-44 it was publishing secretly. In 1991 it was re-registered as the organ of local administration and labour collective and got its present title. At present the constitutors of a newspaper are the Committee on information policy and telecommunication of the Leningrad Oblast, administration of Kingisepp district and editorial staff. It is weekly newspaper, circulation is 8.5 thousand. Reflects a wide range of problems connected with life of a district, oblast and country.There are some regional columns «Our Motherland» и «My Land». The festival " Day of a newspaper" is held annually.
