The Novaya Ladoga of the Local History (Novaya Ladoga Town, 16 Pioneer Street), a branch of "The Museum Agency". The museum is placed in the merchant Timofeyev's former house, an architectural sight of the second half of the 19th century. The first exposition devoted to the stay of A.V. Suvorov in Novaya Ladoga (during 1764-1768 A.V. Suvorov was the commander of the Suzdal Infantry Regiment quartered here) was presented in 1949. Departments , that were founded later, told visitors about founding the town by Peter I, arising and developing the Novaya Ladoga shipping yard, everyday life of merchants and charity, the history of the Ladoga Fleet holding the Order of the Red Banner and "The Road of Life" during World War II. There are more then 4 thousand items in the museum funds. About 7.5 thousand people visit the museum every year. Margolis, Aleksandr Davidovich
