The Sosnovy Bor Art Museum of Modern Arts (Sosnovy Bor Town, 56a leningrad Road) is a branch of "The Museum Agency". The museum was founded in specially conditioned building (the exhibition space equals 360 square metres) in 1991. The basis of the museum funds (about 6 thousand items) is formed with works of painting, graphic arts, arts and crafts that were sent from funds of Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, and a collection of modern Petersburg artists' works. The funds are constantly replenished due to purchases and donations. The museum has carried out more then 100 exhibitions. It cooperates with museums of St. Petersburg, Moscow, Kazakhstan, Kirghizia. From 2001 the museum carries out the International Children's creative competition "We Are the Children of Atomgrad". At the museum there is a Club of artists. The first data-educational centre in the Leningrad Oblast "The Russian Museum: Virtual Branch" was founded in 2003. The museum is visited by 34 thousand people per year.
