The Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God (Gorodets Village, the Luga District). A wooden single-domed Classicism style church with a two-tier bell tower and narthex (the architect P.S. Lukashevich) was built during 1838-1844 by Major-General M.P. Saker. The church was closed in 1937, public worships were begun to perform again during the years of the occupation (in 1941) by Archpriest Mikhail Obraztsov. After 2001 the church was demolished , now its restoration is completed.
