"Evenings in Monrepo", a chamber classical music festival

“VECHERA V MONREPO ” (“EVENINGS IN MONREPO”), festival of chamber classical music. It has been held since 1992 on the initiative of the State History, Architecture and Nature Museum-Reserve “Park Monrepo” (“Monrepo Park”) with the assistance of Culture Committee under the Leningrad Oblast Government, culture department under Municipal Institution “Vyborgskoye Gorodskoye Poseleniye” (“Vyborg Urban Settlement”) administration and some other social institutions. The director of the Museum is A.S. Potapov. The festival revives traditions of home musical concerts in manorial estates. Concerts are held in the salon of the mansion. Famous Russian and foreign musicians as well as young musicians, prize-winners of international contests, take part in concerts. In 2003 the festival was dedicated to the 15th anniversary of Museum-Reserve, in 2006 it was dedicated to academician D.S. Likhachev’s 100th birthday. The festival is held annually in the middle of July. The festival symbol contains a logo of Museum-Reserve. Trufanov, Yevgeny Ivanovich
