The Lomonosov District's coat of arms and flag were approved with the decision of the Head of the Municipal Union “Lomonosovsky rayon” (The Lomonosov District) of 16 May 2000, No. 224. The heraldic description of the coat of arms: “Within the silver and azure field which is bevelled on the right side there is a sword that is put in the baldric. The sword has a dark red handle that is decorated with gold and a dark red scabbard that is decorated with gold too. There are golden fruit on the silver field, an orange tree on the green ground, a golden anchor on the azure field.” This coat of arms (of the town of Oranienbaum) was approved by Emperor of 7 May 1780. The flag is a rectangle sheet in the ratio of height to length 2:3 that is separated with diagonal from top corner by flagstaff to bottom corner into two parts. The upper part is white, the lower part is dark blue. Within the white part there is a green tree with yellow fruit on the green ground; within the dark blue part there is a yellow anchor with the yellow rope which is twined around it. The coat of arms was registered in the State Heraldic Register of the Russian Federation under the No. 747, and the flag was registered under the No. 748.
