"The Road of Life", a museum (Railway Station Lado

"The Road of Life", a museum (Railway Station "ladoga Lake", the Vsevolozhsk district), a branch of the Central Navy Museum. The museum was founded on September 12, 1972. The exhibition made according to the themes and chronology. Every hall from five ones devoted to the specific theme: the Ladoga military communication during the first monthes of the war; the Ice road (the winter of 1941-1942); the second navigation (1942); the Ladoga road in the winter of 1942-1943 and the break-through of the Siege of Leningrad. The last hall is devoted to the final defeating the Nazy troops at Leningrad. A part of the museum exhibition is the open view ground on Ladoga Lake shore. True trucks and river boats worked on "The Road of Life" are set on the ground: the river steam tug "Izhorets-8", the patrol boat MO-IV (the 1940s), a self-propelled pontoon, artillery mounts, trucks ZIS-5 and ZIS-8 that were included in a medical column.
