Vsevolozhsk children musical school named after M/I/ Glinka

VSEVOLOZHSK TOWN CHILDREN’S MUSICAL SCHOOL NAMED AFTER M.I. GLINKA (1, Vsevolozhsky av., Vsevolozhsk Town). It was founded in 1956, since 2000 bears the name of M.I. Glinka. Founder – Municipal Institution “Vsevolozhsky Raion” (“Vsevolozhsk District”) administration. The main specializations: piano, guitar, bow instruments, folk instruments, wind instruments and percussion; the school has a choir class, a class for soloists including folk singing, a choreography class. The school has organized 6 district contests and 5 regional ones, including the contest of the Leningrad Oblast children’s musical schools choirs and those of schools of arts and also the 3rd International festival “Petropavlovskiye Assambley” (“Peter and Paul’s Assemblies”). The school houses children’s philharmonic society. The most active participants in the work of society are: folk group “Votalinka”, percussion band “Kukaracha”, folk orchestra “Sadko”, singing group “Elegiya” (“Elegy”), choir “Rassvet” (“Dawn”), accordionist orchestra “Russky Suvenir” (“Russian Souvenir”), guitarist orchestra.
