Beretti, Vikenty Ivanovich (1781 - 18420, an architect, academician of architecture (1809). Beretti graduated from the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts in 1804. He headed the Committee of City Building from 1825. In St. Petersburg and environs Beretti designed and built the building of Guardhouse in Sennaya Square (1818-1820), barracks of the Life Guards Moscow Regiment in the Vyborg Side (1833-1836), the palace of Princess E.N. Lopukhina in Osinovaya Roshcha Settlement (1828-1830). He rebuilt the building of the Church of St. Panteleimon in the late classicism style (1835) and others. In 1831 Beretti became a professor of the Academy of Arts. He designed and built V.N. Zinovyev's estate "Bogoslovka" (on present days it is the territory of "Nevsky" woodland park, the Vsevolozhsk District) and the estate of Grevova (Koporye Village, The Lomonosov District) that were built in the late 1810s - the early 1820s. The estates were not survived. Beretti was supposed to build the Kummolova estate (now it is Koporskoye Settlement, the Lomonosov District).
