Theology Institute of the Evangelical-Lutheran Church (ELC) of Ingria named after S.-Y. Laurikaly (the village of Kolbino, the Vsevolozhsk District). In 1993 the Synod of ElC of Ingria adopted the decision about the foundation of the Deacon School Centre. In 1995 the complex of wooden houses was constructed. In 2001 the decision about the transformation of the centre into the Institute was adopted, its statutes was registered in February 2005. In 2003 the stone building was buit ( to the design of architect Y. Renonen), it was consecrated on 21 September 2003. There are following educational program: primary theology course, bachelor of religious studies, course of cantor, workers with youth, deacons, teachers for Sunday School, graduated course for working pastors. Now 19 students study at three courses ( 7-8 men enter the Institute every year), there are 37 teachers and foreign guests in the Institute. Teachers lecture in Russian and Finnish. There are 14 thousands books in the Institute library. The deacon camp are organized every summer. Small shelter for old men was organized at the Institute. The religious services are performed in the Lutheran Church of St George which placed near the Institute.
