Kobrino, a country estate (the village of Kobrino, the Gatchina district). In the early 18th century the waste of Koprina belonged to Count P.M. Apraksin. Since 1762 A.P. Gannibal became the owner of Kobrino, he built a small country estate of Runovo. In the 1770s the estate belonged to his granddaughter N.O. Gannibal and it became her dowry when she got married to S.L. Pushkin in 1796. In 1801 the estate was sold in part: the estate of Runovo was bought by sisters Zelbereizen, owners of Druzhnoselye, the collegiate councillor V.A. Zhandr bought Kobrino. Since 1809 under Captain Yu.F. Lisyansky, the new owner of Kobrino, a two-storied wooden manor-house and service buildings were built and on the bank of the River Kobrinka a fruit garden and park were laid out. In 1842 the estate was bought by N.T. Kartashevskaya, the widow o a senator and a sister of the writer S.T. Aksakov. The nearest Railway Station got the name of Kartashevskaya. The manor-house was rebuilt in 1887. The estate was leased to summer residents. In 1905 D.S. Merezhkovsky and Z.N. Gippius spent the summer there. After 1917 a secondary school and since 1961 a tuberculosis hospital was placed in the manor-house. The building was burnt out in 1989, on the present time it is tumbledown, the park is desolate.
