"Priyutino", a literary and arts estate-museum (Vsevolozhsk Town, Priyutino, 1) was fonded on 17 December 1974 in the former estate of A.N. Olenin, the President of the Academy of Arts and the Head of the Imperial Public Library. In 1795 Yelizaveta Markovna Olenina, his wife, bought from I.E. Gertel 776 desyatinas of land located between the Lubya River and the Smolny stream in 16 versts from St. Petersburg. The grange of Priyutino was built by 1805. Bit by bit wooden building were changed with stone ones made of unplastered bricks. By the 1820s the estate, belonged to the Olenins untill 1841, included two mansions, hothouses, many domestic and auxiliary buildings, a landscape park on a pond bank. Literary men: G.R. Derzhavin, A.S. Pushkin, N.M. Karamzin, I.A. Krylov, , V.A. Ozerov, N.I. Gnedich, V.A. Zhukovsky, K.N. Batyushkov, P.A. Vyazemsky, A.S. Griboyedov, P.A. Pletnev, A. Mickiewicz; musicians: M.I. Glinka, A.F. Lvov, A.N. Verstovsky, Mikhail Yu. and Matvey Yu. Viyelgorsky, A.A. Alyabyev; artists: V.L. Borovikovsky, A.G. Venetsianov, K.P. Bryullov, O.A. Kiprensky, G.G. Gagarin, A.O. Orlovsky, I.A. Ivanov, F.P. Tolstoy, F.G. Solntsev; the sculptor I.P. Martos, the architect A.P. Bryullov and others visited both Priyutino as the Olenins's houses in St. Petersburg in different years. Actors: Ye.S. Semenova, I.I. Sosnitsky, V.A. Karatygin, A.M. Kolosova took part in performances at the stage of the home theatre. The contemporary exposition was founded at the estate main mansion in 1990 after completing the restoration works. The study, lounge, Gallery, dining room and bedroom were restored in rooms of the ground floor. Living quarters in male and female parts of the first floor added the image of estate everyday life of the first third of the 19th century. A building of Dairy and a smithy on the pond bank were restored at the estate park. The museum collections include more then 16 thousand items, among them there are personal things of the Olenins' family, everyday life things of Pushkin's times, the collection of editions by I.A. Krylov, portraits of the Priyutino estate visitors and other materials. About 9 thousand people visit the estate every year.
